Cask ale really is something only the UK does, and I don't drink much at all these days, so I only had a half pint with my dinner. This was a very tasty dark malty one.
I'm honestly kinda surprised they still have that poor dude still standing out there in all his 2E glory, figured they would have thrown him 'cross the Rubicon already.
The trip to Jerusalem is said to be one of the oldest pubs in Britain. It's very good and cosy inside. Nottingham is such a good blend of modern and history
When people ask me about British cuisine in the US, I describe it as "Brown, covered in liquid brown, ideally washed down with alcoholic brown. Greens and oranges are occasionally tolerated."
