The only issue I have with Tempest Rising is they didn't get some actors Iinfront of a green screen for some cheesy FMV goodness. Great game otherwise, but god if those mission briefings weren't a huge part of the experience

How are mission briefings presented in this game? Because I feel like if there are cutscenes at all someone could get a phone camera and spend an afternoon doing briefings lol
The original Twisted Metal recorded some amazing cheesy FMVs for the endings but cut them all at the last minute for being too goofy, a terrible decision.
I'd always heard they were cut because they ran out of time and couldn't get them in the game in high enough quality they were satisfied with before a deadline. Which, considering the quality of the footage... I can sort of understand. The cheese was just too good though.
It didn't run too well on my machine for the demo. BUT, that can be worked on. Otherwise, it's an excellent callback to the red alert/Tiberian sun days of command and conquer.
Hell appreciated revenge of the savage planets fmvs X3 even if the humor didnt really get me. I want more fmvs in games tbh even if I super appreciate the animation efforts. Sometimes I need a hammy actor to chew the scenery.
So true. Joe was my whole reason for being part of the Brotherhood. He did SUCH a great job REALLY selling Kane as an over-the-top egomaniac. It was such fun.
I never understood why people liked Tiberium Sun so much until I saw the first FMV and suddenly the vibes were immaculate. Captures that Babylon 5 era of sci fi perfectly
Every time I watch it I can't help but feel him scratching his way back from a break and then just giving up and sending that SPaAAYce to the heavens to get his mouth out of the shot
