The issue is higher CO2 = higher temperatures. Photosynthesis drops in plants beyond a certain threshold.

There is a specific point until more CO2 indeed helps plant grow faster. Especially for stuff like common weeds that are growing more on areas which has been without much plants on them. Though wile have crossed the point of more benefits quite some time ago.

I still remember when I was a kid and learning about CO2 levels as 330 ppm.

I got an air quality monitor earlier this year and being able to see this everyday is visceral.
