I think we follow through up until the contract is changed, is used as leverage against us, or the US bails on their own acquisition.

I don't think we should preemptively cancel it or try to use it as leverage ourselves.

Agreed, but timing is critical, CF-18 HEP and HEP 2 will buy some time but after 2030 a replacement has to be imminent IOC or we are in big trouble and Trump may insist on permanent USAF units in Canada
