I know he is, but that’s no different to how he’s always been. I get where he’s coming from, completely. My issue is with pundits and commentators who have long extolled his supposed virtue as a team player, which isn’t something I’ve observed in him at all.
Oh I agree. Again, I get it. But there’s this cult of personality around Sainz in the F1 media which paints him as this championship-level driver who has perhaps been hampered by his desire to be a team player. And I just can’t understand it.
It'll be williams issue soon, thankfully from Ferrari's point of view, not sure Lewis is the right replacement mind. And it'll be interesting to see how Carlos does compared to Albon.
