Trump's EO to end the Department of Education. I think Ana meant to say "current education policy has failed the American people" (still not great), but she said it as "education has failed the American people"

Republicans have been trying to underfund our public schools and redirect funds toward private/charter schools for decades now.

I’d hope she would have framed it as such but have not faith at all any longer in TYT.

My TLDR is that community college programs to help get people into trades are generally a good investment but the idea that book learning is a substitute isn't going to work, and the real secret of the trades is the real people who make the money own the businesses

I have a cousin and my brother asked him if they would like to set up a 529 to save for college for his son and his response was "he's not going to college, he's going to trade school." Lots of conservatives being propagandized against the exact types of things that promote generational wealth
