Those extremes make me curious. I don't understand turning toward strongman mentality when I only ever hear about trying to escape authoritarianism.

On a lighter note, when I lived in Queens, New York (Rego Park/Forest Hills) for 10 years, every club outside every Peruvian restaurant claimed the title of having "invented" sasla. Colombians, they mocked? Puerto Ricans, fuhgettaboutit! Cubans? Not even close. San Diego has nothing like that food.
