It's fake because discord has made no mention of it and they would have to before they implement said ban system since a majority of users post Twitter links in discord

From what I've seen and heard it's fake

People contacted Discord Support and they confirmed that they are in fact not shutting down servers posting Twitter Links

Take this with a grain of salt tho

I don’t think that’s actually happening. However, I have heard of people that are banning the posting of Twitter/X links on their servers. Which they do by disabling the support for Twitter/X links specifically. (They turn them off for the server).
No banning going on though. (I think).
