That seamed like a hard landing causing gear collapse (no expert). Probably fortunate the snow otg might have kept the fire minimal. Still safest mode of transportation but these recent incidents are concerning.

As another non-expert, I just replied speculating the same thing... hard landing and gear collapse. Also added that fuel may have been in the wing that broke off... lucky.

Early reports say the rate of descent (~1000fpm) was beyond spec (~500-800fpm), and then it took everything on the right landing gear which collapsed. Not definitive until they examine the black box, though. https://www.airwaysmag.com/new-post/flight-4819-flight-radar-video-harsh-descent

Hard to tell from pictures, but it seems to be completely wingless where it came to rest, so yeah seems plausible
