I think there must be some CDN magic going on because even when you compress it yourself at 11. Cloudflare will still decompress and serve it as gzip if a user's browser doesn't support Brotli. Can I ask is it only this post or all of my posts? Also, what mobile do you use and version of Chrome? - ThreadSky

Sounds like CDN employs quite a few methods: This is from ChatGPT: “Magic bytes (specific byte patterns at the start of a file) can identify certain file types (e.g., PNG files start with 89 50 4E 47, which corresponds to “‰PNG”).”

That's really weird! The only thing I have going on with the images is the 11ty transform plugin, but it's the default setup, nothing custom. If you wouldn't mind having a brief look. I'm on iPhone and don't have easy access to an Android device at the mo :(

Fixed it! It was Cloudflare injecting the mirage2.js script into my page! https://blog.cloudflare.com/mirage2-solving-mobile-speed/

I didn't even know they were doing that on mobile!
