Asian people and Black people can both face dehumanization in the US, but the type differs: Asian = machine, Black = animal

Yes! @maxhuibai.bsky.social’s paper was one of my favourites when I saw it presented a few years ago, and the blatant mechanistic dehumanization scale made one of my dissertation chapters possible

I’m watching the remake of Mr and Mrs Smith with Donald Glover and Maya Erskine. Erskine’s character is repeatedly described as robotic and incapable of feeling emotions. Still a great show tho
