I'd like to think it's a self-solving problem. If you're going to block me or add me to a list without interacting with me, we're probably both better off. It could be used to like actually *shun* people but... they would take a pretty concentrated effort I think - ThreadSky

Sure, maybe it balances out in that way, in any case it's still difficult to keep up with all the people that you end up following/discovering, perhaps it even helps clearing out all the noise.

straight up there’s a ton of people i don’t recognize interacting with blocking me because someone put me on a list for being “transphobic” because i simply told someone that biological gender and transgender aren’t the same thing. it really annoys me how people do it so quickly

Yep, I can see the tag from Asuka's Anti Transphobic Field. It's why I actually ignore the tag because there's *no* context and it's absolutely being used on reaction

i feel like block lists are just used by people who are REALLY sensitive. like because i disagreed with someone over trans
gender meaning biological gender doesn’t mean i’m transphobic? it’s just common knowledge to know biological gender is your gender at birth and I’M getting called the asshole

I feel you man. I really do. It's part of why I said I think it's a self solving problem - I don't particularly want to interact with people who are going to block me like that.

yeah and for people to think that’s who i am simply because of a tag is frustrating. like i’m here to talk with people and relax but i’m getting blocked by people for one bad interaction
