i count 2 measures of 4/4, then alternating between 5/4 and 6/4 for 8 measures, then 6/4 until the song loops

this makes complete sense. thank you, this was truly driving me mad because i haven't encountered a song that changes between measures like that.

just to be clear, it's two measures of 4/4, then when the horn comes in, it's alternating measures (4 total 5/4 measures, 4 total 6/4 measures)?

i've counted along to this a few times now and... thank you. seriously.

i have no idea why this is true, but counting along to uncommon time signatures is like... i don't get asmr but the raw satisfaction and mental clarity has to be close.

ooh idk this game but I like this song a lot. It sounds like the main theme is a measure of 5/4 + measure of 6/4 to me? I can count 10 beats and then 12 and it fits reasonably well. I'm guessing there's a lot of time sig changes tho because I can't keep a consistent count after that

there are definitely some time signature changes. and i think there are 2 measure breaks snuck in during the intro and between the main lines.

that said i never tried counting 6/4 so that actually makes sense because 6/8 almost felt right
