Vagrant Story is such a weird. Technical marvel, absolutely INCREDIBLE achievement on the PS1, fantastic narrative and one of the best localizations produced.

And then the gameplay is so ridiculously obtuse and you can lock yourself out with weapon affinities breaking and such.
