DEI will be the public relations reason, but it is deeper than that. Every 4-star fired yesterday had their nominations held up for over a year by Sen. Tuberville. These are leaders who should’ve had longer terms in their positions, but Tuberville was doing Trump’s bidding in holding them up.

Although the POTUS is Commander in Chief, there have been things in place to prevent one from using the military at their discretion. Trump didn’t like this during his first admin. He didn’t respect the generals and admirals who told him, “Respectfully, you can’t do that, sir.”
