"she wasn't even that hot, anyway!" ann is messaging her on their groupchat, but akira is too busy wallowing to really take notice of her friends' sympathy. everything just seems to be going wrong for her. so, she figures she might as well treat herself to a few fancy cocktails at the bar she's in.

nothing is going her way. so, she decides to leave too. akira sways a little as she stumbles out the door and past the bouncer, little red dress barely grazing her thighs. she had dressed up so nice tonight for nothing. it's as she almost falls down the steps on the way out that she smells smoke.

she almost hacks a lung from gasping in so suddenly. a deep chuckle makes her turn around, and standing there is the woman from before. the yellow street lamp makes her glow, making her hair almost golden. she's a perfect picture standing against the grimy wall of a run down bar in kichijoji.
