I am limiting my consumption of "news" but I absolutely can confirm that things are not only getting "worse" but the speed at which they are getting worse is accelerating.
Thereβs almost daily air incidents, the collective minds that prepare for flu season next year were told to stay home and the house just passed a budget that pulls $800B from Medicaid.

Brit here (living in Spain), for the past 4 years the US barely featured in news reports for either country. Now, it dominates the 1st, 2nd, 3rd... slots of headline news, every day.
Both, an increase in news activity is having an exponential effect on the amount of news you pay attention too. So, it only seems like you're watching more news. πΈπ¨ββοΈπ¬
