as long as you're smart enough to manage file permissions and acknowledge it's running as root, this should be okay. you're mostly on your own with this kind of setup but I get the idea that you know what you're doing
moonlight has its own Linux updater functionality (via Native Fixes), but it would require you to not use a system install (unless you own the folder in /opt/)
There is a script for making a userland install linked on the installation page if needed.
yeah, i saw that, but i think i'd prefer to let my package manager manage everything rather than having moonlight do its own thing, though i am kinda doing my own thing here anyways~
