I'm not really interested in Drupal tbh, but would really love to see some Linux-specific conferences in this neck of the woods. Whatever happened to https://Linux.conf.au? It's been three years already since the last one, and even that was online. There aren't even any LUGs remaining over here (NZ).

@everythingopen.au ran recently in Adelaide - it's a different conference to https://linux.conf.au - fewer days, broader topics - but just as great - stay tuned for where it's headed in 2026.

I really miss going to physical Linux meetups like in the good old days. It's sad that we don't even celebrate Software Freedom Day any more, or do install fests and connect with local users. :(

What's stopping you from celebrating #sfday2025 or doing install fests in your own area? Linux Australia enables and facilitates event teams - providing infrastructure for people to do awesome things.
