I would be surprised if the collection of notes itself creates grounds for legal action. It will definitely provide some guidance for the discovery process, and as AG I would be prepping an argument that those notes are discoverable.

If the claim is that he agreed to do something in exchange for dropping the felonies against him and those notes stated that agreement, wouldn’t that be a crime? I really would love to see NY AG go up against these criminal thugs.

The notes would definitely be potential evidence of the crime. Not sure exactly how taking the notes lines up with NY criminal laws on destruction of evidence, but if the underlying agreement is criminal, that would likely add to it.
