Agreed. If people don't like Democrats for whatever reason, they will believe said lie about Democrats.

Exactly. Just like if people are racist or misogynistic they'll cherry pick/ignore anything and everything that doesn't reinforce that position

Yes, I think this is the case for many people. Though most would never admit it, even to themselves.
