Tanks are so much fun! Paladin is definitely great for getting used to playing tanks, and are a lot of fun on their own, but I looooove the dark knight.

Dark Knight is fun but Paladin has better defense abilities. Marriot has better overall attacking abilities.

It’s sooo good! I switched from wow to ffxiv a couple years ago! The story is amazing and it’s fun to play solo or with friends, and on console makes it more accessible for new people!

Dark Knight has a great storyline, as others have mentioned! Love the Warrior storyline too, especially the Stormblood section (if you’re ok with silly).

Playwise, Warrior is easiest but DRK isn’t bad. Endgame, DRK gets squishy to me, but that’s a later worry. Leveling should be fine.

Definitely recommend Dark Knight! Its story is actually really good, and it's my favorite out of all the job quests I've played. It was also my first tank job, and now I main it for MSQ. It felt really satisfying to play as a DRK when going through Shadowbringers from a role-playing perspective haha
