I'm glad there are so many varied and different queer stories these days, but selfishly I kind of wish there was more like my own. It's not to say I don't enjoy the ones we have, but i lose the ability to see myself in these characters, and i wish for a little more of that.

I feel like with movies vs. *cinema* you get more male focus movies (more widely profitable) vs. Female focus cinema.
That demographic is literally the biggest proportion representation of Queer people in Media
In modern media I see a lot more women fill that role and I actually think it's for patriarchal reasons.
And we can't fathom a masculine gay guy whose an action hero.
Both are things I'd like to see more of in media, too. Ace is its own can of worms that's hopelessly misunderstood and misrepresented... Part of why I want to tell my own stories one day.
