I'm so sorry. And I do recommend the home euthanasia, as I've used it for 3 dogs. So much more comforting for them than going to the vet at the end.

It is so hard. To not know how long, and it going both faster and slower than I'm prepared for.

If he were a human, we could explain why multi-hour car rides to a hospital regularly would extend their life.

But dogs don't know that. There's no correct answer, and it sucks.

I’m so very sorry. The anticipatory grief is almost as bad as the loss itself. We had to make a very quick decision in 2023 with Junior and didn’t have the option for him, but we’ve used and highly recommend MNPets.

And one thing that consoled me through it: Junior, smart as he was, didn’t know his life was cut short. Junior had a rich, full life and spent it with people he adored and who adored him right back.

*I* grieved, but he didn’t.
