A company who profits $1.3 M in 2024 is the same as them profiting $1M in 2017. So yeah the numbers are higher (records) but the proportional profit is the same or in many cases less as the value of $ isn’t the same. Understand inflation & how it affects the value of $ before talking like you know.

A company raising their prices is not inflation dumbass. Inflation happens when theres a decrease in the purchasing power of a dollar (in the US). In turn businesses have to charge more and pay employees more. Generally speaking, it now takes $1.31 to buy something that costed $1 in 2017…
