When the intangibles are like “sports fans get to have fun” and the tangibles are funding for schools and libraries I know which one I’d prefer my tax dollars to go to. That’s not even acknowledging that the team owners are billionaires who can pay for their own shit.

Tourists who fly in and stay in hotels to watch the games.

Other massive events that are brought.

All the jobs that go a long with those.

The price of maintaining that cannot be giving a billion in tax dollars more to someone who is already a billionaire. When rich people say jump everyone rushes to justify why we should do it and it’s the main reason why this country is such trash right now.

If taxpayers' money has been. Invested in these venues, the taxpayers' community has to benefit from the investment. Billionaire investor not having enough money for repairs and maintenance, then pay back taxpayers what they invested plus interest.
