Isn’t it up to the courts to decide this? DOJ only enforces the law, not interpret it. But yeah, someone’s gonna get hurt. Maybe that’s what they want to justify bigger crackdowns.
If a homeowner shoots and kills one of these federal agents who entered their home without a warrant (perhaps in the middle of the night?), which law would apply? Would homeowner be guilty of murder?
While the homeowner should theoretically be protected, especially if they never announced themselves. Who has cameras running 24:7 to prove it? The cops/ICE will be believed. Plus that qualified immunity mentioned by someone else.
You’ve hit the nail on the head. This would be a very complicated legal question that would turn on the specific facts of exactly how it all went down. Point being, this is an EXCEPTIONALLY dangerous policy for everyone.
I think I know maybe 3 people who don’t own guns. I’m not even sure they don’t.
Yeah, those agents better get their affairs in order. If they care anything about their families, if they have one.
Is anyone doing something to make these bully a-holes think twice? We need to pay them in their own coin. Wit and sarcasm won’t stop a bunch of KKKers given free reign. Bow do we get together. This is serious and can be stopped if met with OUR force and ruthlessness.
Not my house. Where I live, the chances are unlikely, but I imagine a lot of people think this. I am expecting some homeowner to defend their property with their weapon; then we'll see what the Stand your ground and Second Amendment crowd does. I suspect that they will support Trumps police state.

The law doesn’t matter unless enforced
