Listening to Wes Streeting on #r4today seeming to argue that only Louise Casey can show us how to find a ‘national consensus’ to fix social care. Nick Robinson is giving him a skewering. All very disappointing.

Wasn't it Blunkett who joked about New Labour "hitting the ground running"? Personally I'd have hoped that Streeting's plan included a solution to social care. The only possible defence is the cross party consensus point, but they do have a massive majority.
Yes you'd hope since they've been out of power for over a decade they'd have some ideas about how to fix things. Many of these loud mouths are proving to be ineffective, unimaginative, cowardly ministers.
