Steve Kerr on Jonathan Kuminga: “I’m not going to stop coaching (him). The last two games, his field goal attempts, his decision making has been poor. That needs to improve.”

Kerr is a HOF coach, no doubt. But his inability to flex and adapt with his one size fits all system is a problem. It's a great system when you have KD, Dray, Curry, Iggy in their prime. But this is now.
Sorry - the inability to make a mediocre player great isn’t on Kerr. JK just isn’t very good. He can’t shoot well enough and doesn’t see the floor well at all.
He has some very obvious strengths and some flaws that may or not improve with age and experience. We will never know if Kerr doesn't give him enough runway. The current approach is doomed. Just trade him if you think he's hopelessly mediocre. And maybe next time pick a guaranteed star like Wagner.
I agree on trade him now. Personally I wanted Sengun (no, I didn’t scout him but I know enough that centers are hard to come by and Mike Schmitz is the best eye for talent in the world).
I don’t think there’s anything to flex or adapt to with him. Kuminga isn’t what this fanbase has hyped him up to be. He’s hyper athletic which is fun to watch sometimes but that doesn’t make up for the lack of basketball IQ

In truth though, his stats don’t tell the full story. He’s just not that good.
