Hive mind, what ARE your recommended Google replacements?

Blows my mind that Google's search engine is terrible now, everyone knows it's terrible, every day there's another "Here's what you should use instead of Google because Google sucks so bad now lol" article and yet it's still terrible and there's no effort to fix it. They just broke it and gave up.

switched to DDG years ago and I’m pretty accustomed now knowing when I need to !g to switch to Google. surprisingly rarely.

I use Chat Gpt they give you more accurate informations than Google
Otherwise if you need a browser for search engine
, ads ecc i recommend, carbon, Firefox focus, Bing, DuckDuckGo

duckduckgo is generally acceptable. it's oddly bad at image search for narrow/weirdo/niche stuff, but that's a very small corner of my usage.

I’m playing with Safari & DuckDuckGo. Both are at least still search engines. Google is a mess.

Most of the other search engines just feed off of Google or Bing's API; it's hard to avoid them for real. Between the two, I've mostly switched over to Bing just because they make it easy to funnel reward points from search into charitable causes

DuckDuckGo gets you most of the way there, since they use a variety of sources (mostly Bing, no Google at all), but it's VERY lacking in certain kinds of search, so it depends on how important those kinds of results are.

tl,dr: Bing or DDG, which is mostly Bing anyway
