Fish, possibly not, but birds; way before Asbestosis had been discovered, workers in an open warehouse machining Asbestos, wondered why birds no longer nested in their building? The swarf from machining was lovely & soft, perfect nesting material, apparently? The birds instinctively knew it harmful.
