Ukraine can no longer rely on US assistance. The US President wants a deal, and he wants it fast. Fast deals cost more for the buyer, but the US is not willing to foot the bill. So, ultimately, Ukraine will have to pay the price.🧵2/17

America sent Ukraine outdated armaments that it was cheaper to send away than decommission. Trump ordered the GOP to block weapons to Ukraine. Biden did not supply what was most needed, placed crippling restrictions on their use, sent weapons too late to be useful. But something better than nothing.
It was useful for the USA to keep the war going. The resources of Russia, the traditional rival, were depleted and no American life was lost. Now Trump sees China as the rival but they are bound to Russia by treaty of eternal (? !) friendship so better let Europe bear the burden of that project.
Trump sees Europe as a potential rival whose powers should be curbed. He has certainly done his best to cause divisions in EU and within individual European states. I think he will try to sow discord by teasing individual European states with threats or tempting offers.
Now Europe has the tough task of protecting Ukraine as best it can, maintaining its own security military and digital, balancing difficult budgets, and convincing its own citizens of the wisdom and fairness of its policies. I hope the citizens of Europe also rise to the challenges.
What the US is saying is "join us in fascism or we will throw you to the Russians." The current iteration of the US will throw you to the Russians regardless. I hope you all saw this coming in advance and armed yourselves.
The US is no longer happy to be the main guarantor of security in Europe. There are talks of a partial withdrawal of troops, and a clear shift of priorities to other continents.🧵3/17
I wonder how safe Asian countries will feel with the US ”promise” of defence after this clown show? Who in their right mind will trust US ”guarantees” and what will those countries have to pay?
If the US withdraws troops and does this horrible deal:
- Commit to European funding for Defence.
- reactivate the Western European Union structures, get the Canadians and Turks on board, and transplant most of the European assets of NATO there.
- demand to replace the US Saceur with a European.
The current US administration does not see the EU as it once did—culturally it sees itself aligned with the movements within Europe that are interested in destruction. And this raises the very concerning question—what now are the US interests in Europe?🧵4/17
You say 'current administration' as though they were serious lawmakers instead of a criminal enterprise seeking only to enrich themselves and become isolationists.
This is all happening at a very inconvenient time. So we have to think very seriously about how it might play out. Here is how I think things could go from here:🧵5/17
Germany has trend-setting elections ahead and they (RU and US) know it and use every shit to destabilize Europe and influence the outcome according to their oligarch-managed right-wing agenda. What times are we facing? Very tough times getting even worse. Pls stay together Europe and make us strong.
It’s never a convenient time. Actually it is the best time. Adversity is the best teacher. It sharpens the mind. Ukraine wouldn’t have become a bulwark of freedom in Europe if its survival weren’t on the line
There is a strong possibility that the meeting between Putin and Trump will result in agreement. Putin is in the position to ask for it all. He might demand an election, the occupied territories, and Ukrainian neutrality. All these ideas have been teased.🧵6/17
Putin being strong depends 💯 on #Trump and on European/Scholz's weakness. This could be different but Europe is out now – from negotiations and it's own future including 🇺🇦
I'm not sure Putin is in that strong of a position. Conquering all of Ukraine will not make the slightest difference to Russia's serious internal difficulties--budget crisis, worker shortage, demographic challenge, deteriorating infrastructure, non-defense industrial stagnation--plus Trump wants
to LOWER world oil prices and INCREASE US drilling. How will either of those help Putin? If Trump's advisors are not telling him all this--which, you'd think, any serious "dealmaker" would want and need to know because this knowledge would put him at an advantage in any negotiations--or if they are
If Trump agrees, which he might well do, Putin will declare a complete victory. This is what he wanted to achieve and he got it, he will say. Let’s not forget that the threat of additional sanctions was mentioned only if Putin does not agree to negotiate. Oh but he will.🧵7/17
I’m sorry that you’re going through this, but to be honest you should’ve prepared.
If his first term didn’t tell you anything or how he talked when he wasn’t president, with all leaders of the world BEHIND THE GOVERNMENTS BACK .
I mean, we knew .
President Trump will dump this dead cat deal at Europe's door and say take it or leave it. Then it's up to Europe to decide whether or not to stick up for Ukraine and support rejection of the deal.🧵8/17
They are closing agencies, breaching contracts with suppliers and organisations all over the world. So what is a paper worth with the signatures of Trump and Putin? It will be just a collector item.
The US can only negotiate a ‘solution’ as it’s the main provider of support to Ukraine. Let’s pull that away and ensure sufficient EU+UK support to ditch any ideas of neutrality.
By gutting USAID, the US sent a clear message that it is no longer interested in supporting democracy anywhere. Europe only matters, as anywhere now, to the extent that it is willing to join the authoritarian club. This has become a global fight and we need to work together
Those results are FALSE and manipulated by musk
We the People need to demand a new election to see real numbers
He could barely fill school auditoriums, she had RECORD registrations.
There's RAMPANT evidence of malfeasance and the fact it's being ignored is the most vomit inducing part
Of this, I have no doubt whatsoever. And I believe a forensic audit should be conducted at least within the swing states. I’ve been pushing my legislators for a full hand recount since 06 November.
Without any additional numbers though, those were the only numbers I could cite.
Yeah, but those numbers were falsified by musk using shadow ballots, and ditching soooo many
With those particular numbers, he wins against a successful black woman, it makes us think that the majority are kkkunts & can't trust our neighbor, & that we don't have the numbers to resist
Can't use them
❤️🔥Europe Unite👇❤️🔥
US has no bargaining leverage towards Ukraine, if Trump doesn't give them real security and a lasting European peace🤬 Time for all 630mio Europeans to support Ukraine's victory and secure lasting peace in Europe❤️🔥Use 300bill USD russian frozen assets NOW🙏
They want a Europe moulded in the shape of the Heritage Foundations blueprint for the US, which is a works in progress. They don't try to hide their intentions. Every European leader should read Project 2025. https://www.project2025.org/
Honestly, could you trust anyone deal made with the Americans? Trump is well known for not paying his bills. Biden wasn't much better, but at least he had morals and ethics. I think NATO should dump the USA and admit Ukraine.
Meanwhile Trump's Undersecretary of State said Taiwan will be part of China and Trump said he's making a deal with Russia and China to cut our defense budget by half. Taiwain South Korea Japan Australia all allies in the Pacific better listen
This is betrayal by the US of Ukraine. The Budapest Memorandum still makes security guarantees obligatory. (I hope all politicians are realists and don't rely on the US whatsoever)
The unfit “President” of the USA governs with greed, for his oligarch club & against the American people & their interests: https://usprotests.liveuamap.com/
The USA under Trump wants to destroy the EU as a ‘centre of power’. From within via the right-wing populist movements that follow Trump and to some extent Putin, and from outside via the withdrawal from Europe and the weakening of NATO. Trump wants to divide up the world with China and Russia!

The Felon elected to be POTUS, is supported by approx 31.6% of all eligible US voters.
The remaining 68.4% did Not vote for him, Nor supports his destructive path.
For this reason, I think a better question to ask may be, “What now are Trumps European interests?”
