I understand that caring for a disabled child is difficult, especially depending on the specific situation. Still, there seems to be hysteria and paranoia around children with autism that's dehumanizing. Most of those kids are just fine when given the resources they need. Being ND is fine.

As I said on another post similar to this, I had an anti-vaxxer tell me to my face they would rather their child died than had autism. Told them I had autism and the amount of backpedaling they tried to do made me sick. This was in the UK I may add.

People need to get with the program that autism is a disability but the benefits it provides for humanity far outweigh the costs. If this wasn’t true, there wouldn’t be autistic coded people e.g. eccentric sages not just in modern literature, but in holy text and stories from thousands of years ago.

As an Autistic parent that was still told they're not Autistic after they had to fight for their childs diagnosis then finally go out of network for a diagnosis....

We need the ignorance of our conditions and needs to end. The barriers to access and failures to redress grievances for years is real.
