do you ever have a brief moment of looking on your own art with fresh eyes, and appreciating it just a bit more than normal?

But i kinda have it in an opposite way.
What made me get into art in the first place was that I somehow lost the sense that told me that it didn't look good, and so I looked at it and was like: Yeah! That looks nice!
And usually when I look back, i see how bad it is in comparison
Like this for example!
Everytime I look back at my old art it makes me feel so nostalgic even if there's a skill difference but I still love em no matter how old they were from
Maybe cuz it's all oc based
I like to sleep on a piece and come back to it the next day- especially when I've hit a roadblock. Picking up the pen is important, but knowing when to put it down is too!
Really, really helps a lot! ♥️
What matters though is that you're creating! ♥️
To be flabbergasted at how good your own art looks~
I tend to do this if I'm stumped on a sketch- I'll literally sleep on it, come back to it the next day and it's like having a eureka moment!
while i'm working on a track i'll be like "oh this sucks" but ill listen to it later and think "actually.... that was pretty cool"
I don’t draw realism often, so working on it and then taking a step back feels like waking up from some sort of art demon possession 😭
But yes, every time I look at the bigger pieces I've done on paper I amaze myself that I had that much patience lol
