Indeed. When I was growing up, my dad would occasionally shoot a squirrel. I remember picking out birdshot from the meat. I'm a vegetarian nowadays. ;)

The cookbook is a lovely addition to humanity’s knowledge, even though I would be hesitant to recreate some of these recipes 😅
