TikTok might’ve come back but it certainly is not the same platform. It has been trying to become a MAGA echo chamber. Let it die, it’s going to slowly devolve into another X anyway…
These apps are built with addiction models in mind to drive our engagement. I thought I needed IG to stay up on the news, and I don't. I left that product like I left twitter. You aren't missing anything by doing so. Seriously. Real life still happens. Haven't touched IG in months.
"Unfortunately, the reaction of the American Embassy is unpleasantly surprising: such a strong country, such strong people -- and such a weak reaction," he said. "They are even afraid to say the word 'Russian' when talking about the missile that killed children."
It’s like they’re playing tug of war with this app & have been for years now (at least with threats on shutting it down for being a Chinese spy drone). You can solve it by just obliterating the shit 🤷🏽♂️
I'm more concerned about the sanctity of the creators' data should the app get into the hands of the League of Extraordinary Grifters. Zuckerberg and Bezos and Edgelord Musk have... less than altruistic hopes.
NPR is a joke. It's like they go out of their way to address why Tiktok is actually terrible for society. The stupidly exploitable emotional connection people seek and promote on tiktok is warping people's values. NPR isn't interested in the truth. It's actually just shitheel GOP propaganda radio.
Don't piss on my leg and tell me it's raining. I know what I hear. They sane wash the most ridiculous things this administration says and does. All day. Every day. Their daily fascism-enabling editorial voices and guests are misinforming their listeners.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ some of us make our income from digital communication and are stressed because it's uncertainty in our financial futures – this isn't just about doomscrolling.
I'm one of them folk who is admittedly trying to post everywhere right now. Definitely feel the lack of traction.
Historically, Twitter is my most engaged platform, and I do still have an account there. Still scroll 4Chan, too, because our absence from a space doesn't mean the space doesn't exist.
Lots of great content on TikTok regardless of how you feel about the folks running the show. Sure, social media is problematic but man, there sure are a lot of boomers who try to act like experts in these replies.
it just never got enough people on there so it got stale. I still think it was the best of the social media apps of the time. I was just the only person on it of anyone I knew lmfao
If tick tock gets permanently approved for further use, all that means is that it has been severely compromised by the US government. I will never use it again. And neither should anybody else but, y'all do what you're going to do.

75 more days of Chinese Tik Tok.
China also threatened to put his picture on every Depends diaper.
Anything meta, of course x, tik tok, are all in the oligarchy pockets with the gop. Literally standing behind the president at inauguration.
When we know better we do better.

Yesterday when I looked, it showed me a video of a Scottish woman eating sausage and mash in a caravan.
@meidastouch.com did an incredible covering of the protests every step of the way, doing your job better than you.
Do you want to become obsolete?
