Colon cancer is on the rise in younger people in the U.S. New research shows regular exercise can help survivors live longer — in some cases even longer than people who didn't have cancer.

We lost our son to colon cancer at 42 years old after a 2 year battle. It was stage 4 when diagnosed . He was healthy and strong. We drove from PA to Sloane Kettering to get him the best care. He suffered so.
Do the researchers recommend first acquiring colon cancer before starting a regular exercise regimen, or are they re-examining the correlation vs. causation debate?
A dear friend of mines daughter in law had it. She felt bad, went to the doctor and it turns out she had stage 4 colon cancer that had spread to her lungs and liver. She died two years ago. She was 37. She left behind a husband I've know since he was 4 and two kids, 5 and 3.
We already know what increases your risk for colon cancer. It's too much salt in your diet.
We eat so much processed foods loaded with salt, sugar, and fats. Try eating more fruits and vegetables.
I have to wonder how much of that is being caused by HPV. Anal sex has steadily been accepted more and more by younger folks over the years for a variety of reasons. It would be interesting to know how much colon cancer is being caused by diet or other mechanisms instead of lumping it all together.
People blaming processed food but thats been prevalent for 50 years. Whats changed is kids and teens not leaving their PC desk. Kids up to about 20+ years ago played outside a lot. Helicopter parents and smart devices prevent it
True but food has gotten worse and you can't cancel out chemicals with exercise. Year over year more pesticides are used on food. Also what we use on our skin and drugs we use "medicine" is not so benign. Cumulative effects of all. Wiping out of gut flora is a big problem too.
I am not sure food has gotten worse as the FDA was not regulating additives and farm/factory sanitation like they do today. DDT was pervasive in crops. Not saying its perfect, but there was some real frankenstein stuff pre 2000. I agree with the rest though
I dont think thats fair, he has already started fixing things.
If you just read what the corporate media prints about him, you wont know the truth. The "system" is terrified of him, they like things the way they are.
As a Two-Time Colon Cancer Survivor with Lynch Syndrome who has had SIX surgeries what I've learned is as a patient you'd best be INFORMED and Your Own Best Advocate!

PS RFK jr. Is BAT-SHIT CRAZY!
Glad your now OK, and I agree you have to advocate for yourself.
I deal in facts, I dont see that RFK is crazy as you say.
Can you give me an example of his crazy?
He's sometimes wrong or over the top, but I think he's correct about a lot of things.
I have no problem with Dye Removal, I was in the printing industry for over 50 years and the EPA and OSHA Regulations were in fact Life-Savers. My issue with RFK is his Insane Policy regarding Measles and people dying as a result.
After two bouts of colon cancer, I then had prostate cancer in 2020
My last onco appt (NED 5+) doc: “get 30 min/day of physical activity.” From a public health perspective another oncologist noted younger muricans r 2xs >at risk than someone born before 1980 is environmental. We don’t know why it’s the leading cancer killer in young Americans. Age 45? GET SCREENED
It could be happening more often or it could be happening the same amount but we're just finding it sooner. Like if you get better at finding cancer, you're going to find it in younger people where you would have otherwise missed it before.
It also could be all the nuclear testing we did that spreading across areas we get food, it could be because of forever chemicals like PFAS are being consumed at a high rate, it could be pesticides applied to foods, it could be chemicals we add to our foods like dyes or a combination
Colon cancer has always been a meat eaters disease. Yes any cancer can form in anyone (non smokers can and have gotten lung cancer) but there are habits that invite cancer. Smoking for lungs and throat. Eating dead flesh for colon. Our digestive system is not meant to process flesh.

Just a clue, stop eating pesticide 😉

Do you disagree with him doing this?

Not observed
did not study their medical history
They SURVEYED them
how do they know those surveyed answered honestly?
