Energy, both on the grid and my personal, are at a premium. Removing outdoor clothes and hanging them separately for use another day might be more practical. This action also conserves #water.

Yep! Came here to note this. The saline sprays are great and non-addictive. But the ones that are “decongestant” nasal sprays are only supposed to be used for a few days. They bury that info in small print though. I used some a few yrs ago & it ended up making me worse. Never again.
So true! When I was young I was using it after a bad cold and it turned into a vicious cycle. Could not breathe without it. Thank goodness a dr finally told me to cut it out cold turkey. It was rough 🫣
There are different types of nasal sprays: decongestant sprays, while providing immediate relief, do run the risk of rebound congestion. Saline sprays provide relief, but do not cause rebound. Steroid sprays (Flonase) do not provide instant relief; they require consistent use to work, and are safe.

pollen *out of my home*? An ex maybe, wash my 🐩, after she explores plants that are blooming. I groom her, and then wash immediately; which reduces my allergic reaction.
Important to remember your pollen-covered body and clothes.
There's no avoiding pollen, only reducing it, temporarily.💫
This is true, but I’m sure many people will go to the stores and not know the difference. Just grab the first thing they see that tells them it’ll help. The important thing to look out for is Oxymetazoline, which is the active ingredient in Afrin and Sinex, and can lead to dependency.
Steroid nasal spray such as Flonase can cause or exacerbate severe anxiety. Also increase risk of serious bacterial or fungal infections. Doctors prescribe them as if they are benign. They are the opposite of benign. Read the package inserts.
In the 80s, studies found capsules of freeze dried nettles effective for about half seasonal allergy sufferers!

I like cooking fresh nettles enough to 'wilt' (2-3 minutes) and eat with other spring greens, or make pesto

That is NOT the case of anti-allergy sprays. You are thinking of spray against stuffy nose when you have a cold. Very different.
