The NBA is not position-centric like it was in years past. PG is not automatically the guy dribbling the ball up anymore.
I think Cade and Ivey are a great example of a positionless backcourt. Offense runs through Cade— but that doesn’t establish a hard position any more than it does LeBron/Luka
He's not a point guard like Luka isn't a point guard, or Magic wasn't, or LeBron wasn't. He's just not a "traditional" PG. He'll always play the one, but he'll need specific pieces around him. (Jordan needed shooters on the floor at point guard since he and Scottie would handle the ball so much.)
