Rats, and many animals if we are being honest, fall into a category for me where i prefer them being sectioned off. Like, they have their space, I have mine, and I'd prefer those two spaces not overlap.

It makes me deeply uncomfortable to have mice, or rats, or really any animal that isn't a pet having overlap with spaces I occupy unless those are public spaces.

Like, if I pass a snake on the street, sure, we both have as much right to be out and about, but if a snake were to somehow get in my room that is *my* space and it freaks me out. Same is true for rats, mice, spiders, or most other animals.

I woke up with a twoonie sized male spider on my wall one morning and was like hey... You're cool and all but you're not staying there.
I have a very "contain and release" policy with most bugs. One that is less strict with wasps. If they are calm they get the kind treatment, if they're aggro, smush
