Trump loves it because he doesn’t want to do presidential work, just be president. And Elon absorbs all the fire for him.

Yep, it's a mutually beneficial relationship. They both get richer and expand their power together.

I think Trump wants his money. Trump wants to become a trillionaire. That's all he cares about.

Absolutely, it's all about money and power for both of them.
This is why I don't see the relationship souring. They are going to ride that high for at least the next four years.

He's more concerned about legacy. He knows his days are numbered, but the Trump brand will carry on.

I feel like as soon as people start giving more attention to anyone other than trump in a way he dislikes they will be the new “incompetent losers”

I agree 99.9% of the time.
Elon is different. He's the richest man in the world and has arguably a bigger cult following than Donald.
Trump loves to punch down, but is a little b*tch to those above him (ie. Putin).

I have to admit…you’re not wrong about this.
Trump is predictable but to me Elon is an unknown. I’m not sure which one to be more worried about

Unfortunately I think you’re correct.
We as a country have no idea what we have done.
