But I do have one question after watching.

Is The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker fully DCU cannon because most plot points in them were either referenced or followed up on in CC?

As far as I know the Blue Beetle movie is more or less disconnected from the rest of the DCEU and Blue Beetle will return in an animated series. The movie was just an origin story. I would say „imperfect memory“.

Canon is a double-edged sword that can be restrictive for newcomers but also can enable character growth. The challenge with comics is that the characters can only grow so much before they have to be returned to their baseline. I love watching great creators work through this creative process.

My head canon is that I just view The Flash as a Flashpoint style event that was the end of the DCEU which gave birth to DC Studios. When Barry “reset” time, he did so imperfectly, hence the inconsistencies.
