I loved both Siege series for LoTR but I think my personal favorite was the Fremen Mirage. I think about it a lot when reading or playing games since those ideas come up so often

In any given month, even the least popular posts get maybe a couple of hundred views. The 'hits' of the back catalog generally get something like a thousand in any given month, even all of these years later.

We're going to revisit that a bit later this year, I have on the 'to do' list "Birth, Work, Death and the Peasant" - the idea being a post or series pulling together modeling on family formation, mortality, farming and labor to try to give a rounded sense of how pre-modern peasant families lived.
