My favorite street dog rescue of all time is without a doubt Shaq.
This photo I was sent was the first I knew of him. I saw the mass growing out of his neck and had to go get him immediately.
His recovery has been incredible and yesterday I went to visit him (1/10)

Shaq The Braveπ
Hallelujah to the rescuers, vets and carers who restored this wonderful woofer's life π
Shaq was too weak with bad blood parasites for an operation so we had to build his strength up for 4 weeks.
Most vets refused to operate. His chances were 50/50 at best (2/10)
We went ahead and did the operation but my nerves were shattered (3/10)
I donβt know how he survived the trauma of this as it pushed Shaqβs body to the very edge. (4/10)
He was back in my house and I genuinely thought he might die that night.
Shaq was fighting for his life (5/10)
He was still in agony but Shaq never complained once and he trusted us throughout the process without question (6/10)
Thereβs no way heβd have lived more than a few weeks but heβs fully healed and I love visiting him nowβ¦ (7/10)
Knowing his history now, I cry tears of joy for his recovery.
You & Shaq have a very special bond Niall. I'm delighted you got the time to go see him today. π
