It’s okay to be sad at the loss, too. These giant apps have become so central to our lives and have been involved in a lot of it.

Even TikTok (which I decided not to rejoin) felt like mourning a loss.

Appreciate you. Yeah, I'm struggling getting rid of Instagram because how it connects me to local events and businesses, but that isn't the worth the weight of being on a Meta platform.

I also didn't rejoin TikTok.

I definitely find myself missing it, but the whole emotionally draining lead up to the shutdown and then having it just have been a weird political stunt really turned me off.

Who knows for the future, but for now I’m good using my time elsewhere
