Same day registration exists. You can do it in person. There's no such thing as being "to late to register to vote".

Correct. But it's MUCH simpler and faster when you are registered AND have a VIC. You have to PROVE you are who you say you are at the polling station. Better to ensure you are registered BEFORE you go and if you do so up until the 17th, you will get your VIC in the mail which also shows you where

For I.D. you only need a piece of photo gov I.D. with address such as Ontario Photo Card, driver's license or Passport + a second one or bill.

It's relatively easy. When I was a poll clerk those were the instructions given to me.

You get added to the voter roll manually at the poll. A bit longer, slower and more inconvenient as you said but not by much.

But yes, make sure you're voting at the right place.

Don’t need to be registered to vote. Just need phone bill/hydro bill with address and name and bring photo ID.

Yes. Am aware. I work elections. If you're registered, you get a VIC card & it makes t/whole process smoother & faster. This was a RUSHED election so checking in advance to ensure you ARE registered ensures there is no funny business later.

The law changed in Florida and maybe it changed where you are too. Every two years voters now have to re-enroll in Vote By Mail. Scroll to your county to re-enroll. https://dos.fl.gov/elections/for-voters/check-your-voter-status-and-polling-place/vote-by-mail-ballot-information-and-status-lookup/

Wonder if we should look into the Canadian made Dominion tabulators they use for counting votes. Apparently it's all electronic this time, when it was hard copy paper previously.

Federal elections use hard copy ballots.
Municipal & Provincial use electronic tabulators.
It would be good to know if they are Dominion, Canadian made machines...
