My biggest gripe is how a show will have a dramatic music sting followed by a cut to black, but that's not where the ad block starts. The ad block starts in the middle of a scene or even during dialogue. Max is the worst offender.
I'm not really a tech-minded person by any means, but I don't think it's a simple internet speed/connectivity issue or anything like that. Nothing else I do that relies on relatively high speed internet has seen any change. It's just the movie and tv streaming apps that seem to be moving backwards
Also of note: the totally free apps and apps that are connected to school or library accounts like hoopla or kanopy or tubi or plutotv? working absolutely beautifully.
I'm genuinely curious about this! What the fuck is going on? Is it just the inevitable enshittification of an entire indutry as a result of late capitalism/corporate greed?
Feel like they figured out subscribers aren’t growing so the goal’s become “do less work to make same money for more profit” aka we’re near bubble popping time for streamers
