it depends: European startups also use HTS magnets, and there is cooperation of Fusion4Energy with those companies meanwhile

Indeed, but @cfs.energy has $2B funding, and USA has @taetechnologies.bsky.social $1.3B and @helionenergy.bsky.social $577.8M.
@helionenergy.bsky.social alone dwarfs Marvel Fusion €62M + Proxima Fusion €27M + 16.4M Renaissance Fusion and all European fusion startup in terms of funding.

And I would add that @cfs.energy uses a combination of a well known design and cutting edge technology (HTS) whereas ours tests new design for the most and take greater risks. @cfs.energy has all the cards to win, and win fast. Ours will eventually work, but long after.
