I was a purebred Win 7 user as a kid. Eventually, my school switched their systems to Windows 10, and by the time Win 11 came out, I'd taught myself how to install from a USB (school systems block the settings app).

I got a week suspension for "bypassing security systems" 💀

I remember daily driving the dev previews on my clapped out Core2 powered Acer...

Disliked the start menu but the performance was shockingly decent. I later transitioned to a full copy because compared to the 7 install it replaced, the thing frickin' flew

i had a laptop back in 2014 with 8.1 so i didn't experience 8, and let's say it's still a meh even for kid me compared to 7 & 10

Grew up mostly with windows 7. Upgraded to 8.1 shortly before my family got a new laptop with 10 in 2017.

I used to unironically like it, my laptop was win7 from factory and I installed 8 later on
