At least one crowdfunded game is going to hit with US$94k in tariffs they didn't expect nor plan for. The are not accepting refunds anymore (before stable pledge I believe), and slowing other activity on it

All the ways I can come up with to cut costs by doing stuff in-house are also requiring me to solve problems with more of my own labor. The literal most expensive part of the process and I buy 5 gallon drums of resin.

Yeah the stock market crash is really just phase 1 of the tragedy. Businesses collapsing is phase 2 since their entire business model is wiped away. Phase 3 is what will hit the consumer when products are far more expensive or simply unavailable. This will get worse.

I know a lot of people (and first hand) that lost either their Christmas bonus or just outright their job because that money went to the business stockpiling supplies. They can't already afford to keep employees on payroll with tariffs, on top of all the government grants and contracts disappearing.

If we go into a recession (and many, including me) believe we're already in yet) small businesses, and therefore Main Street will suffer most, and it will flow down to individuals quickly. So I'm (sadly) not surprised by what you're saying.
